Resources for Teachers
Posterous
Posterous.com provides teachers with a quick blog using email, phone, or website. Teachers were introduced to this as a free, convenient homework device accessible anytime, anywhere.
Custom Google Search
Teachers learned to create a Custom Google Search to provide a safe search environment for students. Teachers select websites to add and Google creates a search engine that looks and acts just like the "real" one. Searches are restricted to the websites provided.

Creating iPhoto Memory Books
All Everett staff were introduced to this new feature from iPhoto 09'. Teachers were able to create a photo album depicting events from the classroom throughout the year and easily turn it into a DVD project that could be shared with students and parents at the end of the year.
Creating a Classroom Website
All classroom teachers have access to iWeb, a simple but sophisticated website creation software. Everett School has purchased a dedicated laptop for classroom web publishing and has subscribed to MobileMe, an Apple account, that allows for easy photo pages, as well as advanced podcast and blog capabilities.
